Research for Christ Project

Christ Project came from a series of inspirations, including the Gothic painting, New Testament, Fauvism style, Anime, Japanese TV Commercials, and El Greco's painting, and Kitsch religious paintings.
INSPIRATIONS

The removal of the perspective and its warping is done using AI and perspective-warping software as an allusion to the "golden glow" of the backgrounds from the Ghotic Art. El Greco's influence can be seen in the t elongated figures that were additionally warped using special software. Fauvism largely influences the color choice and lack of contrast and its use of color contrast.
The project comprises 13 images (of whom six were minted as NFTs), all representing certain scenes from the new treatment. The project looks bright and "childish" to draw the viewer's attention to the project and to the problems it talks about.
The overall idea of the project is to critique the patriarchal interpretation of the Abrahamic Religions and Christianity especially. Patriarchal interpretations of religions became the methods to oppress women in most Abrahamic Religion understandings. [1] The current rise of the Destruction Of Abortion Rights in Poland[2] and the overall rise of neo-conservatism and far-right views in the World [3] also boosted the project.
Barbie dolls symbolize society's view of the concept of the "ideal woman" [*] and ridicule the fact that almost all the characters in the Bible are male, which is irrelevant in today's World.
Creation
As the color gamut was chosen and the Storyboard was drawn, it took us about a month to design all the costumes and decorations and redesign the barbie dolls. All the models were selected from the "bubble" of Elza and Mark, which studied at Lviv Academy of Arts, to avoid the increased chance of COVID-19 infection. We shot all photos in one shooting day, and editing took about two weeks.
